Liquid Level Float Switch - Foam Float Type

A liquid level float switch is a type of switch that is used to detect the level of liquid in a tank or container. The foam float type of switch uses a foam float that rises and falls with the level of the liquid. Inside the foam float, there is a magnetic reed switch that is activated when the float reaches a certain level. The magnetic reed switch is connected to a circuit, and when the float reaches a certain level, the circuit is completed, activating the switch.

Foam float type of switch is often used in applications where the liquid is corrosive or abrasive, as the foam float is resistant to these types of liquids. It's also useful in applications where the liquid is viscous or where the liquid level is affected by temperature changes.

This type of switch can be used to control pumps, valves, or alarms, depending on the level of liquid in the tank or container. It's commonly used in applications such as water treatment plants, oil and gas industry, and chemical processing.

This float level switch is a simple and easy to use, as it is simply a magnetic reed switch encaptured in a durable foam.

This is a low current switch so it is advised to use this switch to activate a relay instead of having the float switch directly part of the circuit driving the load.
