The CD4011BE is a quad 2-input NAND gate integrated circuit (IC). It contains four independent NAND gates, each of which performs the NAND logic function on two inputs. The "CD" prefix indicates that the IC is manufactured using CMOS technology, which is known for its low power consumption and high noise immunity.

The "4011" is the part number of the IC, and "BE" is the specific variant. The output of the NAND gate is high when one or more inputs are low and the output is low when both inputs are high. NAND gates are commonly used in digital circuits for functions such as signal inversion and as building blocks for more complex logic functions.

 

 

The 4000 series facilitates simpler circuit design through relatively low power consumption, a wide range of supply voltages, and vastly increased load-driving capability (fanout). This makes the series ideal for use in prototyping LSI designs.  Buffered models can accommodate higher electrical currents, but have a greater risk of introducing unwanted feedback.
