When the piezoelectric ceramic is under a state of strain (momentary shock) it will generate an electrical signal which can then be provide to a microcontroller such as an Arduino to process further. This module comes with the piezo disc and a driver to amplify signals from the piezoelectric material to be read by the Arduino or other MCU.
