Stepper motor cable lead wires are a set of wires that are used to connect a stepper motor to a control unit or driver. The wires are typically made of copper and are insulated to protect against electrical hazards. The length of the wires is 1 meter. The 4 wire 6 pin cable refers to the number of wires and the number of pins that the cable has. A 4 wire stepper motor uses two coils inside the motor, which are controlled by a bipolar driver, and a 6 pin connector is needed to connect the motor to the driver. The 6 pins on the connector are used to control the two coils inside the stepper motor, allowing for precise control of the motor's rotation.

 

4-Wire 6-Pin Stepper Motor Cables are the convenient solutionforconnecting Stepper Motors with stepper motor drivers or Arduino Shieldslikethe RAMPS 1.4. While it is possible to manually connect stepper motors with simple wiring, these cables are both a more convenient and a safer means of making these connections.

These stepper motor cables come in lengths of 1 meter, but can be shortened if necessary by simply cutting the wires and reinstalling them in the same wire-pin-configuration. One on end of the cable is a Female 4-pin header,while onthe other side is a Female 6-pin header. Both of these headers use thesame4-wires, however, but are simply configured differently for safetypurposes –so that you can’t plug two stepper motor drivers into each other andcause anexplosion.
